Venice Noir is fast approaching. Here are three paid-for events just added to the schedule. If you’re interested move quickly since places are limited.

Saturday Night Dinner

Organised by Philip Gwynne Jones, this is an opportunity to enjoy traditional Venetian cuisine in a wonderful local Dorsoduro restaurant, the Ristorante San Trovaso. There are just eight tables, each of them hosted by one of our international Noir authors: Philip, Abir Mukherjee, Clare Mackintosh, the husband and wife team of Chris Brookmyre and Marisa Haetzman who make up Ambrose Parry, Anna Mazzola, Barbara Nadel, Charles Cumming and Erin Kelly. The evening starts at 7.30pm on Saturday 14 November and the cost is a bargain €40 including a starter of spaghetti with gamberi and zucchini followed by frittura mista (fried fish), with half a litre of wine and coffee. Mark Billingham in conversation with Anna Mazzola

Our intimate cocktail reception evenings are proving very popular. The ones with Ian Rankin and Lucy Worsley are, unsurprisingly, sold out. However, we now have a new one for the Friday, Anna Mazzola chatting to the popular Mark Billingham about his long and very successful career. This will take place in the spectacular Hotel Experimental on the Zattere starting at 7pm on Friday 13 November. Cost €30 per person including a cocktail and cicchetti. Gondola Night Tour

In conjunction with the Venice Gondoliers Association we’re running a guided night gondola tour on Saturday 14 November at 5.30pm. This will start outside Sant’Apollonia, the venue for our final international Saturday event, behind the Bridge of Sighs and close to Studium, our parent bookshop. The tour will last thirty minutes and you’ll be accompanied by three of our Noir stars, Erin Kelly, Anna Mazzola and Suzy Lishman.
