Native Rites, day-by-day
Starting on August 13 I’ll be publishing my Kent rural Gothic tale Native Rites here day-by-day for free. There’ll be one chapter a day, seven days a week. They’ll all stay online and this post will be sticky at the top of the blog so you can always come back and find where you are in the thread.
Each chapter is set to go live at 9 am and there should be an automatic announcement on Twitter (one only). You can also sign up for email reminders in the sidebar. The book is formatted for reading in various formats, in a web browser, on a phone or a tablet. If you really like it you can circumvent the whole process and buy the full ebook on Kindle where it goes for about £1 on Amazon UK and I think 99 cents on Amazon US (being in the UK I don’t see prices there).
This is very much an experiment. I thought it might be interesting for people to pick up something they might want to read on a phone on the train. I have no idea whether it’s madness or not. But feel free to tell me please.
I will leave the comments open so long as they don’t go utterly bonkers. Please note this is a story which has adult themes (though it is slightly edited from the published version).

Please bear in mind: I wrote this book fourteen years ago. So this is as much a revelation to me as it is to you in many ways.
